Civil Litigation

About Civil Litigation

Civil litigation refers to any lawsuit between two or more parties. It can involve a dispute about who was at fault for an accident, and the amount of damages one party owes another in a personal injury lawsuit. Also, a breach-of-contract issue, business disputes, business tort, or any legal issue that does not involve a criminal complaint are all in the category of civil litigation.

Almost always, money is involved. The dispute can be resolved with negotiations between the parties who come to a settlement agreement.

What we do for you

If settlement is not possible, the case goes to trial where both parties have an opportunity to present their case to the court. Depending on the issues and amount of money involved, the case may be heard by a jury or a judge.
